We loved this Inn. It was built in 1921 and had beautiful features like the wide staircase with railing one sees when coming in the front door. Also lots of details like French doors, beautiful molding, high ceilings, hardwood floors and period furniture.

The Argos Inn is a gem in Ithica. The building and property are so unique, and it's so thoughtfully decorated. The staff were all very kind, warm, and welcoming. Morning coffee in the sunlit breakfast room made for the perfect start to every morning. The beautiful bar and lounge made for the perfect night cap to end the evening. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, and had everything we would need. The Inn is conveniently located, only short walk to downtown, to the Cascadilla Gorges, and to Cornell. On-site parking made making day trips to the surrounding area seamless. If back in Ithica, there is no doubt we could come back to the Argos.

We have stayed at this hotel for many trips on the way to Toronto, but unfortunately we won't anymore because we have a new dog and they charge a non-refundable $100-$150 dollar pet fee. More than we would like to pay and our dog is definitely going to join us. Too bad. Oh well.
