Every little detail: treats and toys for the dog, a scrubby at the sink, an ironing board, the cozy little kitchen for six - in case you don’t want to wash up every day. And breakfast was the topper! Very welcome. Tanisha was warm and friendly, and she and Ashley handled sending back our forgotten item. Peter greeted us as we came in like we belonged there! Couldn’t have been a better stay!

    We were only there for one night but the Vandiver Inn was...

    We were only there for one night but the Vandiver Inn was great for the B and B crowd. We had a nice meal at MacGregor's Restaurant near the bayfront. Cute little town to walk around in and as a bonus the farmer's market was open the following morning as we were departing.

    This is a wonderful little town right on the Chesapeake Bay...

    This is a wonderful little town right on the Chesapeake Bay. All the people fishing and picnicking were very friendly. ride your bike or just walk the whole town from the old locks to the lighthouse and on to the boat docks. Magnificently restored old homes beautifully adorn and painted. Many good seafood restaurants or just go to River City Crabs and Seafood for carryout, right on Route 40 (ask for Jamie). We can't wait to go back!!!

    It has a wonderful waterfront park on Chesapeake Bay, with a walk that tells the visitors about the town’s Revolutioniry War history. There is also an excellent seafood restaurant right next to the hotel.
