this place is amazing! the location is super sweet. the staff is really really nice and accommodating. and the rooms, ooh the rooms they’re just bloody amazing. we got to see a few and o m g. you find small new details everywhere you look, the detailing is just bloody awesome. we stayed jn the 420 and it was everything, absolutely loved it. the welcome gift was spot on also. and breakfast is included and was the best waffle if my life.

So cool! Everything you need is there too! Very clean, plenty of appliances, crockery, towels etc., everything well organised and explained. Such a cool little town and great cabin! The hosts are very easy to deal with. We unfortunately could only spend one night because of other commitments but would have liked to have stayed longer after seeing the place.

    Idyllwild itself is a really cute small mountain town, and...

    Idyllwild itself is a really cute small mountain town, and we would definitely visit again. But will be sure to really do a deeper dive into where we stay. There are MANY hiking trails, we were told of the Ernie Maxwell trail by another guest who recommended it as they are very familiar with the area, and it was GREAT!!! They had a cute 4th of July parade which was really cool to see the whole town/local area come together, and overall the locals were good people!

    Nice 3 days rest and experience this quaint mtn village with beautiful views, hiking, a few interesting shops, and good restaurants. Don´t miss the Red Kettle or the Italian place in the center of the village. All was tranquil and easily accessible.

    Idyllwild is a beautiful Mountain town.

    Idyllwild is a beautiful Mountain town. Lots of unique stores to shop. Many places to hike. Restaurant Gastrognome in the middle of town is my fav place to eat. Great food. Stayed at the Tahquitz Resort and loved it. Idyllwild will not disappoint.

    We have been visiting and actually lived in Idyllwild for...

    We have been visiting and actually lived in Idyllwild for many years so it's hard to see it so crowded but if you can get away from town and onto the trails which are less used you can have a wonderful nature experience. There was also a lovely harpist in town which added to the ambience with her beautiful and calming music, an unexpected treat for me since, as a harpist myself, I rarely get to just sit and enjoy the harp as a listener.

    Very Lovely Town Idyllwild, so much to do, eat, see and beautiful natural parks. The Alpaca Coffee and the adjoining restaurant the Mile High were great. Good coffee, beautiful breakfast and great portions. Felt very at home. Fantastic service! We found it easy to get around. We stayed at the Strawberry Creek lodge, however if you book the Idyllwild lodge you are walking distance to art, eateries and many places. Strawberry Creek is nice and has a lovely path below for walking and a cool gazebo.

    The town of Idyllwild was lovely.

    The town of Idyllwild was lovely. We visited in late June, and it was quite hot. I think I would prefer Fall. The shops seemed authentic, not the same trinket shops you find elsewhere. On Saturday morning we visited a small artisan fair with fabulous things. Worth visiting.

    A perfectly peaceful setting and cozy rooms. We got an upgrade so had two rooms instead of one, with fridge and microwave. Sitting on the big porch was shady and cool even in the summer heat, felt like a tree house. Also the pool among trees was a delight. Everything has the old world charme. The manager was extremely helpful and gave us many good suggestions for the facility, hikes and restaurants in Idyllwild. The perfect place to relax and unwind!! Would love to come back in fall or spring.

    In the heart of Idyllwild, the cabin was in a quiet but very central area in Idyllwild. The cabin was super cute and had two porch (front and back) to drink your coffee in the morning or have a drink at sunset. The bed was very comfortable and everything was very clean. The kitchen was well supplied with coffee and appliances. The best part was all the carvings made by previous guests on the wooden wall.

    Idyllwild Inn is the perfect location, and is the most amazing way to experience Idyllwild. The cabins are absolutely idyllic, with history as well. The staff were so welcoming too! I don't usually review, but felt compelled to. Please don't skip this place!
