Cozy, clean and comfortable. Helpful and friendly staff. Was a treat to have the pool open until 12 am left ample time for the kids to expend some energy. The floor in the pool area was very slippery so pool shoes would have been helpful. Ron helped us get adjoining rooms for our two bookings which was very much appreciated traveling with 4 children. Breakfast had many options and was very well stocked. We would stay here again.

Breakfast of juice and a energy bar was appreciated, but is not a breakfast, and should be labeled as a snack. The granted request for a ground floor room was very much appreciated. The staff and the process of giving and returning my deposit the next morning was well done. The steps needed were well thought out, office management and staff are to be commended.

    Super cute option if you are visiting the local university or considering wine tasting in the area. I would even stay here if I was in Salem for business, as it's a charming small town and only about 10-15 minutes away.

    Excellent, spotless, friendly hotel about an hour/15 min south of Portland. Great location for visiting wineries. Hotel staff was very friendly and the room was very clean, well appointed and very comfortable. You can walk to the little town of Independence and there were many restaurants and cute shops, and a few breweries. We ate dinner at the hotel one night, and sat with a view of the river, and ate delicious food and drink. Worth eating there. Definitely worth staying at this hotel. We will stay again!

    Independence is a small but growing town!

    Independence is a small but growing town! The view along the river is beautiful! There is new fun places to have a beverage. Parallel 45 Brewing, Jubilee Champange is fun and nice. It was a great place to take our dogs to walk the river trail!
