    I lived in Wood Dale until I was 13.

    I lived in Wood Dale until I was 13. My mother taught in Itasca and I went to school there. One school for the town, kindergarten through 8th grade. In the intervening 61 years, Chicago has swallowed the rural area I grew up in. Busy, complicated highways surround the towns I knew. The cornfields and cow pastures are gone, replaced by corporations, houses and all the businesses which accompany vast population growth. Not to my taste. But though the highways surround, they do not cut through. On a Saturday at least, the residential towns are quiet and attractive. The school I knew is gone, replaced by a very well kept Jr. High School with lovely grounds and outside facilities. The area is affluent. The area I lived in, in Wood Dale, flooded at least once annually when I lived there. The houses and my little road are gone, replaced by flood control basins. There is a well kept trail for biking and walking. It is a bird haven. I saw great blue herons and egrets and smaller birds. Very nicely done and a lovely "natural" area. It is well used and appreciated. So if my rural home had to go, this was a pretty good way for it to go.

    The friendliness of the staff was amazing and they were so accommodating. We dined in the restaurant located on the lower lever. Although the menu was small ( not a lot to choose from) the food was good and so was the drinks.

    Room was very large except for the bathroom area. There was a small living room with pullout couch and chairs and a small kitchenette. Breakfast was better than most locations, although the food served does not change on a daily basis. This location was very quiet, has two very nice walkable restaurants nearby, and featured free onsite parking which you don't get as you move closer to Chicago. Check in staff were nice/friendly. A bit firmer beds and options with different pillow shapes and thicknesses made sleeping nice.

    When I booked booking.com charged me 138us$. And when we git there they charged another 119 us $. Thus is ridiculous. I told the hotel staff I already paid ,but they said they don't have my reservation so I have to pay them again 119 us $. No fridge No microwave No iron . 🙁🙁🙁🙁

    We stayed for 3 nights The hotel is very nice and comfortable, room clean and quite large. Location near the airport. We were traveling daily by car to Chicago so hard to say but public transport could be difficult. Breakfast quite good compared to what we experienced in US.😉
