We loved having the facilities at the YWCA across the road. We used this every day and met local folk there who were friendly and gave us tips on what to see and do in the area. Pool and gym were available.

I loved the kitchenette it was amazing and the room was so comfortable. The room was very clean and I slept so good. I would recommend any one to stay at candlewood suites. The staff was soooo friendly as well.

    We came for the show at the sight and sound theater.

    We came for the show at the sight and sound theater. We've been there about 9 times in the 30 years they have been preforming the plays. Have never disappointed us yet. They put on an great show. The one thing I didn't like was I made reservations 4-5 months in advance and planned to do the magic show and dinner theater. After I had made all the reservations and payed for the tickets they call and said the show was canceled. So we were stuck there for a extra day with nothing to do.

    Be prepared for lots of places to call in for local foods, crafts and cultural experiences. A car is definitely needed. We would have appreciated another day to see more of the opportunities available. Some were overly tourist oriented whilst others were quaint. Everyone was very friendly. Maybe our Aussie accent helped in that area.

Beautifully preserved with wooden floors and wallpapered walls, it comfortably hosted our family of 12 for a fantastic weekend. The five well-appointed rooms and spacious kitchen easily accommodated us all. Ample parking and a nearby working dairy farm enhance the experience, set against serene cornfields on a quiet country road. For an authentic Lancaster area visit, this is the ideal spot. Highly recommended!

    There is plenty to do in and around Lancaster.

    There is plenty to do in and around Lancaster. We went for a train ride and a buggy ride. Visited a farm and went for a tour of Amish country. We also went shopping and to the American Music Theater.

    Our family trip included several ages, seniors, adults teens and a small child, and we all enjoyed our time together. A family dinner at Millers, rides at Dutch Wonderland, shopping at Kettle Village and at the Amish Farmers Market and a fun night at Treasure Cove Mini Golf! A memorable getaway!

    We saw a show at the American Music Theatre, Visited KItchen Kettle Village, Ate a fanastic dinner at the Belvedere Hotel, saw the 3 hour Retro Music show, ate delicious ice cream and had massages at the Inn in Leola! A wonderful 3 night stay!
