The rural location, with relatively quick access to Landrum to the north and Greenville to the south was perfect for us. We loved waking up in the morning to the beautiful view of the mountain to the north, visible from the sofa in the living area while you sip your morning coffee. The hosts have a book with helpful tips for restaurants, culture, shopping, and hiking. We loved Horse & Hare in Landrum. A fun day trip is making a circle to go to Hendersonville in North Carolina which is about 45 minutes to an hour away. It's a beautiful scenic drive on 176 from Landrum to Tryon to Saluda along the Green River then to Flat Rocks Main St. Hendersonville is a must to visit with its shops and restaurants. Then back on US25 to US11. If you don't have time to go to Hendersonville, do the circle anyway, turning off at US25 instead of continuing to Flat Rocks. Tryon, famous for its' internationally acclaimed equestrian center, and Saluda are quaint and great places to explore. Hikes are amazing in the area, especially the waterfalls of western North Carolina (get the book). In short, we loved everything about Cozy Landrum and highly recommend for singles or couples. Caveat--it's not accessible for those who cannot walk up stairs.
