Leavenworth is a very pleasant, clean, and attractive town.
Leavenworth is a very pleasant, clean, and attractive town. Many beautiful old homes, nice neighborhoods, rolling hills and tree lined streets. Nice old downtown area with interesting original architecture and funky little shops. Lots of history in Leavenworth, including Ft. Leavenworth, which has a nice military museum. Leavenworth has some really good restaurants and is generally friendly to travelers. There are Fort Leavenworth tours available to the general public, and the town itself is dotted with truly vintage, late 1800s and early 1900's homes. So driving through the streets is always going to show you something new in the very old. Construction in town is steady, so there are beautiful new homes as well as some very well kept antique homes. Seems like this little city is ready for civic renewal, and it's potentially a great teleworking area.Guest review byBillUnited States
