Marina is a beautiful little town just north of Monterey.
Marina is a beautiful little town just north of Monterey. With CSUMB right there, there are a number of stores and restaurants typical of a college town. Monterey is just a short drive away but Marina is quiet without the hustle and crowds. Daddy's City Diner is a great place to start your day with a hearty breakfast! Beautiful location, the hotel needs bathroom upgrade and would be nice to have hot tub filled instead of empty with outside lounge would have been nice.... Room was simply for sleeping and showering.... No seating area which kept us out to enjoy nature.. MARINA downtown is fun. This was just a one night stay during a road trip on the California coast. This area is beautiful with many attractions, including nearby beaches, the Monterey Bay Aquarium, the town of Carmel. Marina has a small town feel with a lot of amenities. Marina State Beach has a lot of rough water at this beach. It is not always safe to swim in. I didn’t even stay at the property because they said they didn’t know if the rooms were occupied with homeless people or not their system was down. They house homeless people in some type of program there. The check in lady literally told me the cleaning lady is a crack head. It was a terrible experience and I had to spend extra money to go to another hotel the same night with my family.Guest review byAnonymous
