    Quiet little town with charm and a few shops close to train.

    Quiet little town with charm and a few shops close to train. Can ride away is the beach and casino. There is a mansion there as well but we didn’t have time to visit. Overall nice location from SouthShore train. Bike rental would have been nice. We were close to Central Beach at a quiet MOTEL ( Al’s)

    First time visitor and the family and I loved it.

    First time visitor and the family and I loved it. The Zoo was awesome. Botanical gardens was great!! Close to the beach and if we didn't have the kids we would of hit up the casino. Outlet shops were better than expected also. Everything is close or like a 10/15 min drive.

    Sophia's Pancake House is an awesome place for breakfast!!! Antique Market across from the Quality Inn had a great variety of things to look at and buy, something for everyone. Kohl's has clothes for all seasons, if you happen to forget a hoodie or a flannel shirt to cover up on a cool summers night(because Walmart doesn't carry things like that) Has Blue Chip Casino (but there is smoking allowed in the casino) Four Winds Casino is just 10 miles away and it's non-smoking.

    There is a lot to see and do in this town.

    There is a lot to see and do in this town. The Lakefront is beautiful. They have a nice Zoo that is suitable for all ages. The Old Lighthouse museum is a must visit. Very nicely done. They have an Eastland Memorial there. The museum and Zoo is walkable from the Lakefront / Washington Park area. There is also an Outlet Mall with tons of big names stores. Even if you don't gamble, Bluechip Casino gets some great acts at the theatre there. There are tons of dining options from "cheap eats" to hoity toity. If you'd like to learn about the history of Michigan City, you'll want to visit both the Old Lighthouse Museum and the Barker Mansion. If you want to visit Chicago for the day there is a train (South Shore Line) that goes right to downtown Chicago for cheap. Michigan City is a great place to spend a few days.

    It’s got small town charm, with tourist destinations.

    It’s got small town charm, with tourist destinations. We ate at two local restaurants. Gelsosoma’s was fantastic. Breakfast at the sugar bowl was amazing! Located near national park and beach access.

    Paul’s auto yard was great, very helpful staff. Attended Oktoberfest at Michigan city beach so much fun, clean beautiful beach, lovely dock, spacious, large parking lot, showering facility. Not far from hotel. Need to return to shop. Will go again.

    I liked the location the place has potential but it’s not kept up with at all it’s a bit ran down and the towels were filthy I never use hotel towels anyway but for those who do that is horrible
