Major remodeling going on. Cannot wait until it is finished.

Major remodeling going on. Cannot wait until it is finished. Pool and hot tub were a nice place to escape. Bed was comfortable. I will try again next year. McDonald’s and Dennys were across parking lot. Handy location, right by freeway. Excellent sushi restaurant on 7200 in the Fort Union area.

Midvale has a wonderful Olive Garden and other restaurants, but like all cities without a vision and in competition with newer developments, Midvale seems hit hard by blight, homelessness, loss of business and loitering deep into the night. Midvale is still safer than Oakland, NY and LA at night, but it's not safe.

I was in Midvale visiting for Christmas, so time was with family, not seeing the city. There are plenty of places to eat or shop. Getting around seemed easy enough, but as I was driven by family that lives locally, my opinion would not be an honest reflection for the average traveler.

    Well, how do I start?

Well, how do I start? PLEASE CHANGED THE PHOTOS OF THE ROOMS ARE DIRTY AND DISGUSTING. THEY NEED TO UPDATE THE ACTUAL ROOM PHOTOS SO THAT PEOPLE KNOW HOW THIS PLACE REALLY IS. HONESTY GOES A LONG WAY.. First of all, I booked a room with one bed and was given a room with two beds. I told the staff that I only wanted a room with one bed, but they refused to change my room and said that the room with two beds was complementary because it had a microwave and a fridge. I guess I should say thank you! I was also told that the TV in the room wasn't working. I walked into the room, and it smelled terrible. The carpet was extremely dirty. The bed was very hard and reeked of sweat smell. Not only that, but the bathroom fan had fallen off, and the door would not close. The shower handle had also fallen off. The wall to which the shower curtain bar was attached had holes on both sides. The computer chair was ripped and scratched everywhere.I took photos and showed them to the front desk, and I was told that he would report it. I asked him to change my room, but he said they were all booked, even though the parking lot was empty, and he refused to change the room. I contacted Booking.com right away and told them I wanted a refund and to check out immediately. I was charged for one night because I had been in the room for less than an hour. This was my first time using Booking.com, and there is no way I will use it again or stay at this place again. I know it's an inexpensive place, and I don't really care about comfort. I travel light. However, cleanliness is the only thing I ask for. So, please don't go and stay there.

When I arrived, the owner just force us to upgrade our room with the excuse that king bed room unavailable. I booked it two weeks ago. The toilet is blocked, the owner gave me the pump, but it doesn't work. So the owner just sent someone to fix several hours later, without cleaning the toilet after unclogging. There is no hanger in the room, and no hanger in the whole hotel. I came here for ski, so I have to put clothes on the chairs. Breakfast only has limited choices, but it's ok considering the price.

Facility was very clean, looked like everything was pretty new. They were still under some construction but that is to be expected. Staff was very friendly. The only thing I was disappointed in was it said continental breakfast but it was a paper bag with a muffin, apple and breakfast bar. I stayed at another hotel the week before and they cost more and you were charged for parking and no breakfast at all. Hotels are charging more and offering less. I wanted a true breakfast.

Apparently, the motel has been renovated. My room was clean. Friendly staff. Compared to other hotels, I paid very cheaply considering it was a weekend.

Hotel is near shuttle bus to skiresort. Big parkingspace, also for large vehicles. Cosy lobby.
