The location and price were okay. The bathroom was not clean, toilet base soiled with urine and mold, shower curtain was moldy. The bed was hard and uncomfortable. Not many choices for breakfast My mom who was with us has gluten allergies. There was nothing she could eat. It was all carbs.

I found nothing not to like about Monroe City. Great dinning places and several to choose from. The town has been updated and new store fronts, great to see the improvements. Easy to find your way around town. The Maddies on Main, the restaurant next door and the Dug Out are all great eating places.
