Wow wow wow! My husband and I love travelling and visiting different places and what an amazing find this is. We were only here for one night as part of a road trip from the UK, but could have stayed for much longer. Communication was the best. This place is so well equipped - it really is home from home. The owners have thought of everything - in fact I don’t think we have ever stayed in a place as well equipped as this, and this made our stay perfect. Loved sitting on the deck listening to the wind chimes and chilling out. Thank you so much for a relaxing stay.

Great location, professional staff, and a comfy room. The food at the restaurant was top notch and priced for the local market. The creative ways that the redwoods are incorporated into outdoor spaces was impressive and thus the trees remained instead of being cut down.

Highly recommend. Staff were wonderful. Friendly, genuine and knowledgeable of the area. Loved the wine tasting in the lounge. A Breakfast option was included and delicious. Rooms were beautifully appointed, lots of lovely touches though a little cramped. Gorgeous buildings. Would have liked more shared areas that were more usable, not just for ‘waiting’ in. Maybe more couches rather than chairs and dining tables (that no one used). Having said that the spaces were rustic and homely and very welcoming. Lovely light through the stunning Redwoods, beautiful location. Beds were incredibly comfortable. They had tea available not just coffee! And complimentary too, with lots of options. The restaurant was wonderful. Guest chefs special long weekend menu and wine pairings were sensational!

Tiny town among big redwoods with the Russian River as the main event. Other towns are close by such as Geyserville so there is a selection of restaurants. Northwoods Golf Course is tops! We saw kayaks, paddleboards, canoes ,and other small watercraft. Looks like fishing may be good too. There are 2 small grocery stores if you need supplies.

I think two days, a weekend or weekday (2 night) get away is great. Great baby moon location, close enough to other towns and wineries. More than 2 days would be too long in Monte Rio. Bodega bay is only 30 minutes away and there are many wineries nearby. So worth the drive. This is a great location to stay at I loved it so much it was so relaxing and romantic. I took my 8 year old but if you’re not taking them for some fun near the water then you’re better off going with another adult or alone instead.

Monte Rio is a beautiful town nestled in the redwoods.

Monte Rio is a beautiful town nestled in the redwoods. It smells so good! it was quiet on the days we stayed on Monday and Tuesday. We ate at the Highland Dell a German restaurant 4 doors down and the food was great. Outdoor dining a plus.

Property was awesome.

Property was awesome. I think other rooms must have been better quality but I only saw this in photos. The room I stayed in was lackluster Was looking forward to getting in hot tub, it was empty and not working.

This town is really cute, but small.

This town is really cute, but small. I heard great things about the theater, but wasn't able to stay long enough to enjoy it. If there isn't enough in Monte Rio for you, there is more in Guerneville. I definitely wouldn't recommend visiting either of these places on a Tuesday or Wednesday in the winter, however, as just about nothing is open. We were excited for a romantic getaway at a non-busy time and realized that there was almost nothing to do at this time of the year in the middle of the week.

There is a lovely Irish bakery within walking distance of the hotel and they greeted us with warm tea (It was pouring). The ladies were spectacular!
