The people are friendly. Uber is reasonable.

The people are friendly. Uber is reasonable. The area is beautiful. Restaurant prices are reasonable. The University of Pittsburgh is not friendly to GRANDPARENTS-after we were welcomed to attend our Grandchild's graduation without tickets for months-for the first time ever, 6 days before graduation -each FAMILY of a Graduate was issued 4 tickets only (generally Mother Father and 2 siblings). So grandparents were sent off to a Field House which was cold, uncomfortable with 3 screens ( the one in front of us did not work properly too dark) and you could not discern the face of the individual graduating on the screen. When I complained politely about being isolated with a few hundred other mostly old folks-they sent in six guards (dressed ominously) with dogs??? For a 70 year old MD PhD JD Grandmother who was dissatisfied? Quite rude and inappropriate. Perhaps administration should reconsider their policy changes at the last minute-they are sorry? Not as sorry and disappointed as I am/was. We had to meet our Grandchild on the very cold and windy street-I hope that no other child from my family attends the University of Pittsburgh. This treatment was in stark contrast to the welcoming, warm and hospitable environment of The Doubletree by Hilton and the people of Moon Township. The fishbone grill was excellent as was Caroline's at the Doubletree Hotel. Thank you!

I don’t understand how this La Quinta got it’s good ratings.

I don’t understand how this La Quinta got it’s good ratings. It is a level far below what I have come to expect from this chain. First impressions are not good upon entering the parking lot. The property looks dated, dirty and shabby. The parking lot was full and I was forced to park next door in the Bob Evan’s lot and, only as I entered the lobby, did I see a notice posted on the front door directing people to do this. The clerk at the counter said I wouldn’t be towed. She was not friendly or overtly unfriendly but seemed like she would rather be somewhere else. My impression of the lobby and halls was the same as the exterior. The building is dated and the rugs need to be replaced or well cleaned. Frankly, I would have cancelled my stay if it hadn’t been after 10 pm and the booking was supposedly unrefundable. The room was freshly painted looking but not really clean in the corners. The fridge and microwave were too old and grubby for me to want to use. The bottom of the tub was dirty black in the no skid texture. I killed 4 large shield bugs during my stay in the room. The toilet move when you sit on it. The quality is just not up the the chain standard and, given this, I feel it is over priced at$140 something a night with tax through the booking.com site. I should have paid a bit more and stayed up the street at the Hampton.

Very nice area for a short trip.

Very nice area for a short trip. We had fun at the Milkshake Factory. El Mariachi's dinner was ok, but not the best Mexican I've ever had. Panera next door was perfect for a meal on our way out, especially being able to utilize their drive-thru. Very easy to navigate this busy area by the airport.

Convenient to where we needed to be, but the hotel was in sad condition. The carpet was absolutely filthy, with several large and small stains. I did not want to walk on it. The bathroom sink clogged and did not drain. I used a spoon to hold it open.

well it has a lot of places to eat and tons of car dealerships. went to visit family. Nice little college town, clean and easy to drive around. Very close to airport but didn't notice the airport noise. Also close to Robinson for other shopping.

Nice check in but room facilities not great for the price. Then no one on front desk overnight until 6am and breakfast not available until after 7am which was too late for an Airport hotel of this type - so we missed it as did other guests.

Room was okay. We chose this hotel due to its proximity to the airport. It is geographically very near to the airport but too far to walk to the terminal

I have sent a message to customer service about the overcharge, which the hotel blamed on Booking.
