Mountain View, especially the Castro area is both lively (at night) and mellow on the weekend mornings. Come, kick back & grab a coffee. I enjoyed the Hotel Zico with my granddaughter a while ago. We only came for Shoreline Amphitheatre, so I can't speak to the rest of the area, but the concert venue was spectacular. We are from Connecticut and often visit our son who lives in Saratoga. We have stayed in several hotels in various locations in the Bay Area and found Mountain View to be most centrally located to everything we want to do during our visit. The city looks fun and vibrant. There are tons of restaurants with every food type we like to eat (we love good food.)
