Holly and Lee are absolutely wonderful. I called ahead due to traveling with a pet and late arrival and they were so sweet to go ahead and give my the room number and to leave lights on for me. I was so exhausted that it meant the world to me to quickly come into and clean and cozy room. It was also quiet which made for an excellent night’s sleep which was so desperately needed. In the morning I spoke with Holly and thanked her for her hospitality; she graciously gave me the scoop on nearby attractions and directions to them. A lovely place to stay and couldn’t be nicer for an amazing price point.

Murdo in September seems to be shutting down.

Murdo in September seems to be shutting down. The Circle E drive in was closed on Saturday and one other day, there were only two restaurants open on a Saturday night, the Buffalo restaurant and the pizza place. We did enjoy the Buffalo restaurant though it was heck-a busy and there was a wait list. But, and this is a big but, it's hard to find anything near badlands that is decent. Murdo has a few good motels and the restaurants were good, so for a badlands town, I recommend it (about 70 minutes east of Badlands).

Highly recommend the Pioneer Auto Show... noting that not...

Highly recommend the Pioneer Auto Show... noting that not only does it contain autos, but many antiques from the 1900 to 1990. Antique sewing machines to PacMan machines. You have to look... allow at least 2 hours. Also recommend their cafe for breakfast. Absolutely recommend the hamburgers at Circle E Drive In. One of the best on our weeklong trip including the Black Hills. You can eat inside, outside or just drive thu and pick up. French fries were amazing.

This is an amazing motel, Irish themed and owned and ran by charming American born and raised family (which is, let's be honest, is a rare find nowadays). I felt like I visited my own family. Room is huge, you can dance there! Clean and cozy, beautiful pictures on the walls. Cable TV, coffee maker. Cozy blankets, not like in chain hotels. Warm notes placed in the room about client's safety, use of the rags. Very close to Pioneer auto show museum that everyone MUST visit!

I stayed at this hotel with a friend who was assisting me in driving a UHaul across I-90. We weren’t sure how far we would get that travel day so I didn’t make advance reservations however they were able to accommodate us which we appreciated. Murdo is a very small town with not many choices of places to stay. Breakfast was adequate and we enjoyed chatting with some of the other customers at breakfast. Staff was friendly as well.

I liked the chuck wagon setup for breakfast. The eggs and sausage was very good. Loved the spacious room which was much more like sitting in a living room than a hotel room and the cleanliness of the room. Beds were comfortable. The location was great because we were going to go to the 1880"s Town plus being near the interstate.

Did not work well for traveling with a baby. No stow away cribs which usually hotels have. Also since I had to bath the baby noticed hair in areas of the bathroom that should have been cleaned
