Absolutely oozing with historic charm! Such a treat to be right on the peaceful Mississippi River. If you like grand & gorgeous Antebellum mansions, Natchez will not disappoint. Natchez is full of charm and history.

TO make your stay more enjoyable read "The Deepest South of...
TO make your stay more enjoyable read "The Deepest South of All: True Stories from Natchez, Mississippi" by Richard Grant before going. Also, If you are on a Road Trip take the Natchez Trace Parkway. A non-stop national park all the way up to/from Jackson, MS and Nashville TN. I was expecting something more like Savannah or Charleston but got their poor cousin instead. The town folds up at night. The streets are dark and confusing at night and full of one-way streets. Old town my wife and I visit often.
Old town my wife and I visit often. We live about 2 1/2 hours away so it’s a great getaway. So much history and culture. Great restaurants and shops. If still available would suggest to take the horse drawn carriage the man knew so much about the history of the town (lots you won’t find in the books).
