    Absolutely oozing with historic charm!

Absolutely oozing with historic charm! Such a treat to be right on the peaceful Mississippi River. If you like grand & gorgeous Antebellum mansions, Natchez will not disappoint. A beautiful walkable downtown and a nice relaxed small-town atmosphere. We can't wait to return!

Natchez is full of charm and history.

Natchez is full of charm and history. I visited 4 mansions and will go back to visit more. I recommend going to the visitor's center for good information on how to organize your time there, and to watch the short video they have on the history of Natchez.

TO make your stay more enjoyable read "The Deepest South of All: True Stories from Natchez, Mississippi" by Richard Grant before going. Also, If you are on a Road Trip take the Natchez Trace Parkway. A non-stop national park all the way up to/from Jackson, MS and Nashville TN. Google doesn't want to take you because its not as fast as the interstate -but its not much longer either.

I was expecting something more like Savannah or Charleston but got their poor cousin instead. The town folds up at night. The streets are dark and confusing at night and full of one-way streets. The town has its moments but is still rather shabby and poorl

Unless you're specifically here for an old south antebellum history tour, we found it not to have many draws. Quaint standard fare gift shops lined the two main commercial streets. One or two excellent art galleries provided a saving grace.

Old town my wife and I visit often.

Old town my wife and I visit often. We live about 2 1/2 hours away so it’s a great getaway. So much history and culture. Great restaurants and shops. If still available would suggest to take the horse drawn carriage the man knew so much about the history of the town (lots you won’t find in the books). And the B&B’s are all interesting but the Grand hotel is our favorite.

The staff was fantastic, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a sample of southern cooking. We could sit on the front porch and watch Natchez life go by. Also, it was a short walk to the pathway along the Mississippi River to downtown Natchez and Fort Rosalie.

Beautiful rooms, Ioved the old timey aesthetic. I had a room facing the river on the top floor, best view I've ever had in a hotel. They had a pretty decent bar downstairs as well
