The room was spacious, the bed was ridiculously comfortable and it was dead silent at night so naturally deep sleep ensued and I woke up refreshed! I didn’t eat the breakfast so I am unable to comment but the grounds are beautiful and well kept. Only 7-8 mins drive to charming downtown Nevada City and a little further is Grass Valley.

Broadstreet Inn was beautiful. I stayed in the Carriage House and it was even better in person, beautifully decorated, clean and quaint. Great location. True to the claim it’s a 2 minute walk to Broad Street where there are shops, restaurants and bars. Really, really great place to stay.

Amazing staff! Super friendly and lovely rooms. Super comfy tempur mattresses, an awesome spa, good gym, great sauna and pool. Breakfast is included and is super fresh (fruit, yoghurt, bread, omelettes, juices and coffee etc).

    Adorable little town that has something for everyone. Nice to get away and into the woods for a while. Too bad the lodging was so bad that it ruined the ambiance. Find a good place to stay and you will love this little treasure of a town.

    We totally enjoyed Nevada City.

    We totally enjoyed Nevada City. There is a wonderful old theater that has plays on Saturday nights. A variety of stores and restaurants. We absolutely enjoyed the National Hotel - on the national historic register - with an awesome dinner menu . It is a small town but offers great variety and friendly helpful people.

    This is a charming historic Gold Mining town with an...

    This is a charming historic Gold Mining town with an abundance of artists and musicians. There is a vibrant foodie scene and breweries, shops, and galleries. It is quaint and scenic. There are lots of outdoor areas to explore as well. Close to Nevada City are other fun little tourist towns - Grass Valley, Auburn, and others. We could have spent many more days here. Looking through the county tourist guide, I noted that there are many fun activities going on in the area all year long. So I would advise people to contact the Nevada county (California) tourism bureau online and request a catalogue to plan a fun vacation. If you like music as we do, there is a Bluegrass Festival here and both Nevada City and it's adjoining town Grass Valley both have fine performing arts centers that attract great musicians from all of the country and the world!

    We didn;t spend any time in the city but if the city is...

    We didn;t spend any time in the city but if the city is anything like the motel we stayed in for one night we would never go back. We spent our time in Grass Valley and it was pleasant. People were friendly and helpful. we stayed our second night at the Grass Valley Court Yard Suites. We were very pleased with the accommodations and friendly people.

    Quirky, fun Nevada City!

    Quirky, fun Nevada City! So many great restaurants, bars, live music venues. We went there for a music festival. The renovated theatre in town is beautiful. The people of this city really care about their town and while there is easy access to hiking and other rural charms it is sophisticated in a way I cannot really put my finger on. I took a close look at Pioneer Park this time and it is a large public facility with a beautiful pool and many other amenities for small town life.

    ⁸nevada city was great..the nevada city inn was nothing like what they advertise..what a dump..carpet so dirty have to have shoes on..miserable place..only stayed one night..that was to long..stay away

    Stayed in Northern Queen Inn at the beginning of December to attend Victorian Christmas fair in Nevada City. Liked the location. It's possible to walk to Nevada City downtown in about 20 minutes or to get there by car and park on free public parking if there are spots available there. Liked the cottage is spacious: there are two separated by the door rooms - a bedroom and a living room/ dining room with a kitchenet space. Liked the balcony with a view to the forest.

    It was false advertisement there was no breakfast or coffee at the hotel I no heat the first night second night was a space heater and it was very noisy so it made it hard to sleep at night, not to mention mold and how dirty it was And nasty smell in the room, mold and coffee grounds in the coffee maker. I am lucky I did not get sick from the mold.

    The place is delightful. Wonderfully unique decor, with many beautiful features. Breakfast was truly beautiful, with antique serving implements and fresh fruit. The setting along the creek is gorgeous and there is very easy walking access to the historic downtown of Nevada City. The bed and shower were also great.
