I was moved by the raising of the flag to Star Spangled Banner at the music pier at 9 am. Many people come out, both young and old. People were friendly when walking on the boardwalk. Beach was nearby, well-guarded and safe. Area restaurants book up early and reservations during a holiday weekend are definitely necessary. Ocean ocean city is a lovely little beach town. We thoroughly enjoyed being there. We loved the eateries and the boardwalk. We didn’t know about the jitney until the last day. We love OCNJ. Took our family there every year. Now our daughter has her own family! Just love being together at the beach. We love the board walk and all the yummy choices of where to eat. We eat at the Crab Trap every time we come to OCNY! Love the former Chatterbox as well! Always enjoy playing mini golf at the various spots on the boardwalk. Ocean City is a great place to bring your family for fun and relaxation from a busy work life. From Philly it was just a hour away so I wasn't too tired once I arrived at my motel next to the boardwalk and beach front. Their boardwalk is host to so many beach shops, indoor/outdoor eateries, mini golf courses, bicycle rentals and multiple carnival parks with rides for all family members just to name a few. It's never a dull moment and if all you want is a tan then just lay out on a very large beach front. I'm Burnt!!
