ocean city isnt the same as it was even 5yrs ago . it doesnt have the appeal to my wife and i as it did . the prices at oc have pretty much thinned out alot of people that just cant afford it . also the evening walks on the beach or boardwalk are not the same . its turned into the battle grounds of groups of thugs that choose to cause problems and make it unsafe for families that once enjoyed those things to no longer to do so . i do know you will never have better steamed crabs than OC MD . our favorite is Crab Bag in north OC . subs at Anthonys and pizza at Lombardi's . breakfast at Bayside Skillet and maybe a short drive to the casino in Ocean Pines for a little fun . take the family a short drive to Assateague island to see the horses and maybe a sitka deer . and there are plenty of golf courses to choose from also .Guest review bycliffordUnited States - 10.0

Ocean City is a hidden gemstone in the USA, my family has been coming for generations. Although it is a quaint beach town it has something for everyone no matter what you're looking for. Enchanting miles of beautiful beaches, bayside eateries and activities for young or old or in between, plenty of both affordable and high end options. Very clean and safe city that has a lot to offer very family oriented. Surfers, Assateague Island wild horses, lots of food options, Thrashers French fries on the beach so much to see & do! We rented 4 wheeler chairs to cruise the beach due to my stroke I couldn't walk on the sand and I would highly recommend it - everyone asked where we got them I rented them from OCMDWHEELCHAIR-SCOOTERRENTALS.COM the best decision I made they delivered them to our hotel & picked them up! We like to go in the beginning of the off-season, when the kids have returned to schools so the road, beach, and boardwalk are not so crowded. We like to relax and cook in the condo, so off-season would not be for those who like to be very active and at resort restaurants filled with people. Ocean City has its own flavor and is unlike any beach town I know. It can be formal but is truly fun and glitzy and silly . The surrounding beaches (Rehoboth, Bethany, Lewes) have a low key atmosphere whereas OC is anything you want it to be. I love it!Guest review byManning
