Traffic is always an issue in a resort area but Orange Beach does a great job of keeping things flowing. They utilize a lot of "U-Turns" but these are regulated and controlled well with lights and sensors. Sometimes the turn lanes come out of nowhere and suddenly you're turning when you didn't need to but other than that, traffic is easy, even around the congested beach access areas. We love all the unique restaurants and shops. It's a great place to enjoy a beach vacation without having to drive 10 hours into Florida. This is our second time visiting Orange Beach, we are fascinated by the place. We got the impression that there are many more buildings than before but it is clean and tidy. Orange Beach is beautiful!
Orange Beach is beautiful! This was our second year visiting and have stayed on both sides of the big bridge. Both sides are beautiful! If you need groceries there are plenty of choices to get them from, if you want to eat out there are so many places to choose from. You can simply enjoy the beach and stay there your whole trip or you can venture out and explore and not have to spend hours on the road to see new and exciting things. If you want to see the dolphins I highly recommend Dolphins Down Under!! We have taken two trips with them now and they have never disappointed us! We were there the week before Memorial Day, so all was quiet. We tried several places to eat, and in every case we were one of only 2 or 3 diners, so we got IMPRESSIVE service! I expect it may be a ZOO during peak visiting season, but we had a wonderful time. Everyone was friendly, the beach was beautiful and absolutely not crowded. One little gem we discovered was the Coastal Arts Center on Canal Rd - beautiful art to view and to buy, as well as glass blowing demonstrations daily.Guest review byCalamityBillUnited States - 10.0

We visited several restaurants in the area and they all were good! The staff was more than courteous and attentive! The area is SUPER friendly, from the restaurants, grocery stores and all the stores were so friendly and welcoming! We went to Lambert's in Foley and it was the best dining experience!! Lots of smiles during check- in. The breakfast-bar staff was extremely helpful and kept everything clean and well-stocked. The patio/deck area overlooking the beach is a beautiful place to sit and have a coffee or an adult beverage. There are tables with umbrellas and lounge chairs.
