We liked that the room was tidy, clean with extra pillows. My son and I are hunters and visit Steuben County a few times per year. We don't need 5 star accommodations just a clean / comfortable room at the end of the day.

Excellent location right next to the Corning Museum of Glass. Very easy walk several times a day across the pedestrian bridge to Market street which has lots of great restaurants and shops. Staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. We also had a beautiful view of the river in our large, spacious room. We were really pleasantly surprised by the quality of the room.

    Several museums (Corning)were close by.

    Several museums (Corning)were close by. The towns of Corning, Elmira, and Watkins Glen are all close by as well as Seneca lake and the winery tour. Watkin Glen gorge and park are beautiful. There are several different local places to eat including Applebee's. Could easily spend several days in this area.

    I chose this place for it's low price and it's availability...

    I chose this place for it's low price and it's availability — so I did not have high expectations. The advertised breakfast was not available (but I never expect to eat breakfast at places at this price point. I did plan to take a shower but no water came when I turned on the tap. I had stayed here a few years ago but I had no bad memories from that stay. In short it was a cheap alternative to all the overpriced accommodation around WGI. Not a place to take your wife!

    The promises made by the hotel regarding cookies etc being available, ARE NOT TRUE 1 It's just an ordinary hotel with ordinary facilities. Exiting the hotel to travel locally by car, is also difficult, and it is too remote for walking anywhere other than the ( large ) mall across the road.

    The downtown had a few restaurants that seemed good.

    The downtown had a few restaurants that seemed good. The hotel we stayed in was not near the downtown area so had to drive. Not a place that had a lot of things to do but was about 30 minutes away from Watkins Glen State Park where we were going. Would not go there as a destination itself.

    Due to a booking error, I found myself in Corning without a reservation. Booking.com to the rescue. The hotel was easy to find, clean, comfortable bed and a suitable continental breakfast. The price was right, the location was near the Corning Museum (drive) and staff were friendly and informative.
