This hotel was basically brand new when we stayed in August 2024. Very spacious bedrooms with bedroom and lounge areas (and two televisions) and nicely appointed bathrooms. We stayed as a family of seven and the hotel gave us two rooms right next door to each other. The kids enjoyed the swimming pool, even though is was a chilly evening when we were there..! We only stayed for one night to break up a long journey as part of a road trip around California and it was very comfortable, clean and excellent value for money. There are a handful of fast food restaurants nearby. Breakfast was great - help yourself to a selection of fresh food, with helpful staff on hand to assist. Highly recommended.

    Property has great potential, but needs some fix-ups for a truly enjoyable stay and more attention. The downstairs bathroom had poor sink drainage, low shower pressure, water that wouldn't heat and a door that didn't lock. For our party of 15, this was quite inconvenient. We booked for party of 15 but they didn't have enough bedsheets or towels there. The breaker had tripped for master after we arrived, and had to search to turn it on, but even after the master bath lights wouldn't turn on. The outdoor grill had not been cleaned in a while and even after we heated off the last uses, only 1 of 3 grills worked. The indoor stovetop pilot wouldn't stop igniting. Many lightbulbs hadn't been replaced so lighting was dim. Two of upstairs bedrooms had stacked mattresses unconventionally high so it was difficult to climb on. On the other hand, the downstairs games room with pool table, arcade and a cards table was a big hit with the teenage kids. The layout itself is very nice with 3 separated upstairs bedrooms, a bunkbed room downstairs with several pullout options and another small queen room downstairs (a bit cramped) a nice outdoor balcony and table and outdoor gas fire. The open plan living room/kitchen is nice gathering place. There wasn't much to do around town since a lot of short hikes were closed, but for a short weekend stay to gather in a small group to hang out, it can be a good stay.

    We had a great dinner at Pine Mountain Pizza.

    We had a great dinner at Pine Mountain Pizza. We enjoyed the spaciousness of the property as it fit our needs nicely. It was ideally located and convenient for walks around the village and into the residential areas to see all the homes and natural surroundings.
