Maplecroft is SO charming, and Caryn made the whole thing so special. This is not for people looking for the sterile, hands-off kind of stay that a large hotel chain can offer, rather it is a warm and personal experience in a unique and historic bed and breakfast. We had the Tower Room which was the smallest room in the house, but it was still very comfortable and totally kitch with it's genuinely Victorian style of decoration (which is the same throughout the entire property). Our bathroom was across the hall, but again this wasn't a problem as it was totally exclusive to us and had an amazing free-standing tub that we had use of. Caryn's breakfasts were delicious and always of a generous size, which set us up for the day perfectly. She was a warm and gracious host, lovely to chat with and full of great information and recommendations. Highly recommended for an authentic Vermont experience!

We stayed one night and it was a truly special experience! The design is absolutely charming, with a delightful vintage American style - romantic, small floral patterns, and antiques. The host was very kind and attentive. We enjoyed sharing the common living area and exchanging travel stories with other guests. The bed was heavenly, seriously like sleeping on a cloud! The morning breakfast was delicious, with fresh fruit, amazing muffins, bagels, and spreads. We missed exploring the lovely outdoor area the host mentioned, but we were rushing off. Highly recommended if you are in the area!

Breakfast did not include much. Only a handful of fruit. There were no eggs no nutrients. Fo us was generally a high carbohydrate diet and coffee. Even the juice was not real juice. Rather the juice was a sugary orange tang? Or cocktail mix.

The Disco Den is a fabulous place to stay! When you arrive the disco ball is spinning and throwing reflections! The attention to detail is incredible, as is the tasteful decor. Wonderfully comfortable bed and pillows, great towels, comfortable furniture and a nice porch looking into the forest. Well-supplied kitchenette. The hosts are very friendly and available. Quiet and safe. I highly recommend this place!

A passionately restored, renovated and decorated grand heritage house in New England. We didn't just stay for a night as travelers, we were given a free piano concert by the host. The morning delicious round table breakfast was delicious. It gave the guests from various walks of life and nationalit a friendly atmosphere to chat. Thanks to Jeffrey for helping us taking one of our suitcases upstairs.
