Market is excellent; great selection and presentation. We shopped and cooked or made picnics. Restaurants few and expensive. Chef at Roadhouse outstanding, though. Bovine bakery good but unfriendly. Access to Point Reyes excellent--and Point Reyes is an amazing place! Want to be alone on a vast stretch of beach? Go to one that you have to hike to. Lots of wildlife, wide variety of plants. Remote rustic setting near the ocean with vast areas of wilderness for hiking. Be sure to bring enough food if you do not plan to drive out to eat. Expect drives of 30 to 60 minutes each way.
