I especially enjoyed hiking and exploring the Jenkinson Lake Recreation Area. The lake nearby was really pretty, there’s plenty of hiking trails. It feels like you’re visiting a miniature Lake Tahoe. Safeway and CVS Pharmacy nearby is a plus in case you need food/supplies. Pollock Pines is a beautiful mountain town!
Pollock Pines is a beautiful mountain town! It is located in the middle between Sacramento and South Lake Tahoe. It is only 8 miles to historic Placerville and even closer to Apple Hill and Jenkinson Lake. Jenkinson Lake is a beautiful lake with good fishing and boating. Apple Hill is a great place to visit and get some fresh hot apple doughnuts. You could stay here and relax in quiet mountain town with fresh air knowing you are close to so many things to do!Guest review byHornsby

The hotel is older but the rooms are spacious and have been updated with new flooring. My room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Good location tucked away in a residential part of town, but only a few minutes from restaurants, Safeway, and the freeway. And the drive down to South Lake Tahoe in one direction or the Sacramento/Folsom are the other isn't very long. In fact, you are right in the middle here.
