The problem with this hotel: You won't want to leave. You'll want to relax in the lounge, listen to an old Frank Sinatra record and retire for the rest of your life. The only workaround: Plan to come back as soon as possible.

The location was beautiful — incredibly quiet and surrounded by stunning woodland. The host was excellent, responding quickly and helpfully when we had a few questions. The facilities made self-catering a breeze, and we really appreciated the outdoor BBQ, hot tub, and pool table, which made the trip extra special. The property was very spacious, and although we only used one of the three double beds, it was extremely comfortable. We visited some beautiful local attractions such as Sly Lake, and there were shops nearby as well as other amenities easily accessible with a short drive. Overall, a wonderful stay in a peaceful setting with everything you need for a relaxing break.

My stay in Pollock Pines was truly refreshing—the crisp mountain air, beautiful scenery, and frequent glimpses of local wildlife made for a peaceful retreat. I especially enjoyed hiking and exploring the Jenkinson Lake Recreation Area. The location was perfect, offering a serene escape while still being conveniently close to Placerville and other charming spots in the Sierra foothills.

The lake nearby was really pretty, there’s plenty of hiking trails. It feels like you’re visiting a miniature Lake Tahoe. Safeway and CVS Pharmacy nearby is a plus in case you need food/supplies. It’s also close to a lot of wineries and Apple Hill. A good spot for families or pet lovers.

Pollock Pines is a beautiful mountain town!

Pollock Pines is a beautiful mountain town! It is located in the middle between Sacramento and South Lake Tahoe. It is only 8 miles to historic Placerville and even closer to Apple Hill and Jenkinson Lake. Jenkinson Lake is a beautiful lake with good fishing and boating. Apple Hill is a great place to visit and get some fresh hot apple doughnuts. You could stay here and relax in quiet mountain town with fresh air knowing you are close to so many things to do!

Trish was incredibly kind and accommodating during the check in process, going out of her way to make sure I had everything I needed and even gave me a list of local recommendations for dinner. The hotel is older but the rooms are spacious and have been updated with new flooring. My room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Good location tucked away in a residential part of town, but only a few minutes from restaurants, Safeway, and the freeway. Would be happy to stay again next time I am in the area.

The Westhaven is conveniently located. Very short drive to Apple Hill and Placerville. And the drive down to South Lake Tahoe in one direction or the Sacramento/Folsom are the other isn't very long. In fact, you are right in the middle here. The nice couple that runs this hotel are always friendly and easy to work with. And the rooms are big with in room coffee!

Conveniently located between Tahoe and Sacramento. There are so many things you can do that are close to Pollock Pines as well like Apple Hill or Placerville. The rooms are huge and come with a refrigerator/freezer, microwave and in room coffee.

As a basic hotel, Westhaven Inn, was very adequate for our one night stay. The room was large and clean. It is not fancy, but that was fine with us. We had no problems, so all was well.

Simple, clean, and low cost lodging for the night. Ample free parking even though the Inn was completely booked for the evening. Employees were very nice and helpful.
