Princeton is the county seat of Bureau County, Illinois.
Princeton is the county seat of Bureau County, Illinois. It seems to be in good shape financially and has a nice downtown with small shops and restaurants. I particularly LOVED "The Coffee Cup" diner about a mile from the interstate. This "throw-back" American-style, classic restaurant offers wonderful, freshly-prepared food (I had a cup of chicken noodle soup, coleslaw, tuna salad sandwich on whole wheat toast, and a glass of fresh-brewed iced tea), a welcoming and friendly staff, and a clean family atmosphere. When booked online stated to have breakfast included.
When booked online stated to have breakfast included. But went down the next morning and had nothing but cold coffee. Called the front desk to ask and they indicated since changing to a sleep Inn from Super 8 no breakfast. I indicated the only reason I booked was because it said breakfast was included.
