The stay was very quiet not a lot of other people in the surrounding cabins. When you first arrive you have to go to the on-site restaurant to check in and get your assigned cabin and code for the lockbox mounted to the frame of the cabin. Our cabin had a view of Lake Ontario which was great. The first night it was foggy which was cool but limited visibility. The on-site restaurant had great food, recommend checking it out if you’re in the area. The cabins interior was not what I expected when I opened the door, it was really nice on the inside with a private bath which was a good size. The room came with a tv with Roku , mini fridge, microwave, and WiFi . Unfortunately it can get a little warm but the hosts have a box fan that helps. My wife was comfortable the whole time but I was warm at times but it wasn’t too bad. There were 3 good size windows in the cabin that we opened for air flow. There is a small deck with 2 chairs to enjoy the view of the lake. I’m glad I chose this spot over others in the area for our stay.

The resort is rustic and the grounds are beautiful. I love that you can rent ATV's and UTV's there. The breakfast is complimentary and you cook it yourself. The selection was fantastic. The grill is for use outside and the fire pit is perfect for late-night drinks by the fire while stargazing.

    The view is breathtaking!!

    The view is breathtaking!! We watched the most beautiful sunset. the restaurant was closed at 8:00, but locked doors at 7:45 when we got there , the other 2 restaurants listed were not open at all. The only place we found to eat was River House Bar & Grille. the waitress ignored us completely when we got there. We waited about 15 minutes while she visited some guys at the bar. She then took refills to a couple girls and visited with them for while. Then she dropped glasses of water so quickly we couldn't even ask for menus. When we finally did get served, the food was great. However, she never came back to fill our glasses or to check if everything was okay When she brought the bill she was cheerful and talked for a minute, but that did not make up for the terrible service. I normally give at least a $5.00 tip, but she got $3.00 which was $.30 short of the minimum 20%tip. If not for the last minute cheerfulness, she would have got nothing!

    It's a fantastic hotel. The lodge-style design had modern accents creating a cozy yet convenient experience. The heated pool area as well as the fitness studio were in pristine condition. Instead of a lobby there were spaces resembling living rooms throughout the hotel were friends & families can sit down, play, or eat together. They have a game room with things like foosball and board games and an outdoor hot tub. The service personell was friendly and helpful and the bar/restaurant the perfect place to wind down after a long day.

    I liked having a fridge, and it was a great location with lots of opportunities nearby to explore the outdoors. We reserved a room with 2 beds, but the place wasn’t busy and when they learned I had two kids with me they generously upgraded us to a room with 4 beds. We only used two anyway because my youngest child wouldn’t sleep alone in the unfamiliar environment, but it was a very nice gesture and my kids did think it was “luxurious” (their word) to have so many beds to choose from. LOL!

    Brand new accommodations, all the things you need for a stay, owners available, if needed. No issues at all. Distance is a little over 1 mile to beautiful Lake Ontario for fishing or swimming.
