    It is a very walkable city based on the area I was in.

    It is a very walkable city based on the area I was in. Traffic was not to heavy compared to where I am from. The streets are a little confusing with the traffic pattern changes and the lines I the street not being very clear as some of them needed to be repainted but thats probably not an issue if you drive there often . The food we had, mostly take out and a hotel restaurant, was good. Overall it really seems like a lovely place.

    I liked the downtown park and walkway along the riverfront, and enjoyed the little after-work food, wine and music event in the evening. I spent the morning at the Museum of Play -- what a great concept and fun place to explore! It was great to see and remember the kinds of toys that were around when I was a kid. Travel by Uber was really easy, but I can't comment on local transit, since I didn't have time to use it. I'd like a chance to return and see more of Rochester -- there's a lot I'd like to explore and experience. FYI, I came to visit because of the great article in the Amtrak 'New York By Rail" magazine about the city.

    Central location for our Erie Canal vacation.

    Central location for our Erie Canal vacation. Flew into ROC from the west coast. 1 day visiting family in Rochester, 1 day in Niagara Falls being tourists, rented e-bikes in Pittsford and spent 5 days biking sections of the erie canal. Then 1 day driving back from Amsterdam to drop off bikes and catch our planes the following day. Didn't have time to do much sightseeing in Rochester.

    The location was the best, with shops, restaurants, gas stations a short walk away. The room was dated but clean and comfortable, and the rates were reasonable. The staff were friendly and helpful. In all I would stay there again, and recommend that my friends and family do also.

    We loved the fall colors and the variety of parks in Rochester. Staying in the RIT area gave us a mix of country charm with easy access to everything—museums, restaurants, and activities, all within 5 to 20 minutes. We enjoyed five full days of family time and exploration. However, I don't recommend staying at the Spark Hilton during hockey season. The hotel accommodates children's hockey teams, and their behavior was disruptive. They played hockey in the hallways, and the noise—along with hockey pucks hitting our door—ruined the experience for us.

    Everything was just perfect! Very nice and quiet place! Lovely appartement right in the heart of downtown and cheaper than any hotel you could find! Even the hallway have masterpeace in it! The apartment itself is Very nice and clean! Lovely bathroom and a view of the sky while lying down on the bed! Would definitly go back there if Rochester was on my way in the future! And a secure garage spot! Cannot ask for more! Thanks to the host!!! Lots of stars!!!
