This is a very walkable, incredibly gorgeous city.

This is a very walkable, incredibly gorgeous city. There is something for everyone - museums for the history buff, attractions that will appeal to kids, all kinds of restaurants (the Columbia is a MUST DO), and bars, and every kind of shop you can imagine. It felt very safe - LOTS of people out, streets mostly well lit. VERY convenient to water attractions (boat tours), and of course, THE BEACHES. Old Town Trolley tour gives a great overview of the area, with one day hop on hop off privileges.

St. Augustine has so much to offer, we could have stayed a few days to explore the city, shopping, and night life. We came for a show at the St Augustine Amphitheater and stayed at the Conch House on this trip but yes, recommend visiting St Augustine.

Very interesting and historical which we loved. Everyone was very nice. But if you go down town be ready to walk a lot. Be comfortable, bring Sun screen and water. We loved everything about it but traffic.

What a gorgeous place. Lots of options for food and drink.

What a gorgeous place. Lots of options for food and drink. Lots of history with tours. Just avoid at the weekends as it’s full of hen nights and gangs partying. We are at Casa Reina for Mexican food with Margaritas We did the trolley tour which was gave discounts on other venues. Torture museum was too gruesome for us.

We have lived in SC for 44 years and had never been to St. Augustine, FL so we didn't know what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised. We chose to go in September which is the "slow" part of the year but it gave us plenty of time to enjoy the city. We took the shuttle from Southern Oaks Inn to the historical district most days. We walked, we shopped, and we enjoyed time being together. We took the "Hop On - Hop Off" shuttle once we were in the historical district. The drivers were knowledgeable and entertaining. We toured the Castillo de San Marcos Fortress, Cathedral Basilica of St. Augustine, and a sunset cruise on the Black Raven. Very enjoyable trip!

As a native Floridian, I almost feel embarrassed to admit that his was my first trip to St. Augustine. But wow! What a great experience! The town isn't large, per se, but it is densely packed with history. We cut our visit short by one day, but we left too early to be finished with our exploration of the city. This was a fabulous road trip that everyone should make!

This property is in a quiet location but still close to the historic district. If you want to spend a little timeout around the house, there are family games to play including a darts board outside. We recommend this property for comfort and tranquility and could not fault it as it provided everything.

beach was spitting distance - we loved the proximity. Bed was very comfortable. The rooms were old, very old, but it's a beach front hotel. Still, a new coat of paint and some matching furntiure would do wonders for very little cost.

The unit living area was well appointed. The grounds of the property are immaculate. In a safe area, but at least a 20-30 minute drive to downtown St. Augustine.
