St Maries is a nice small town with friendly people, good restaurants and churches,. The last few miles of road from Plummer to St. Maries are a little twisty, not so much fun in snow. Beautiful scenery and close to a state park/lake. Be sure to see the HUGE logger by the school, as you come in from the north.

St Maries is a small, remote, logging community so if you want fine dining and theater, you may find the town lacking. If you enjoy remote mountainous living, walking along the river, fishing and hiking then you will enjoy St Maries.

Nice little town of 2000+.
Nice little town of 2000+. I ate at the pizza house for dinner and the Timber Cafe for a huge breakfast (taste and amount) I was in town to preach at the St Maries Community Church, beautiful sanctuary, warm welcome from the congregation. Worship at 10 a.m.
