    I lived here for up to a decade and moved.

    I lived here for up to a decade and moved. I return as often as possible: access to bodies of water, my favorite park is Kennedy Park, easy access to Cape May and Ocean City. The best Shop-Rite grocery store in the State, the Custard Hut, Primo's hoagies and the sound of the seagulls.

    There isn't much to do in Somers Point.

    There isn't much to do in Somers Point. We stay because we like the restaurant in the area but we only go off season because the wait for tables can be very long. Somers Point is just before the bridge going into Ocean City. I would stay in Ocean City if I wanted to use the beach or go to the boardwalk.

    I’ve been here before.

    I’ve been here before. Short trip to Ocean City for great beach and boardwalk. Also close to our favorite restaurant (Crab Trep) and point dinner but you have such a good breakfast at SONESTA that we didn’t go there.. Love the seclusion and setup so you don’t feel like your in a hotel room ,

    We like Somers Point area.

    We like Somers Point area. We go to the beautiful beach in Ocean City, NJ so location is very good. Good food choices, diner, and full service restaurants. We have been going to Sonesta and prior to it when it was the Marriott, which in those days was wonderful. This hotel Sonesta has gone downhill over the years. Property is not kept up, service (No service), every time we stay here, I am not happy. The only reason I stay here is the size of the room and the location to the beach. I wish this place would improve.

    Somers point just across the causeway from ocean city.

    Somers point just across the causeway from ocean city. They have some nice restaurants in the area. It only takes you about 5 minutes to get to ocean city. Like any shore town , traffic can be a little heavy around rush hour in season. It’s a little cheaper than staying in ocean city. If you want to buy alcohol you buy it here . Ocean city is a dry town. A couple supermarkets near by.

    The unit was clean and spacious.

    The unit was clean and spacious. The staff was polite and helpful throughout our stay. Faith at the front desk even gave us some recommendations for lunch, dinner and other activities that we could experience during our stay.

    The owner was very nice and accommodating. The location was right next to Caroline's on the Bay so that was convenient for dinner. The hotel is very basic and does not look like much but for the price it was perfect. The room itself was huge and the bed was comfortable. I did not bring my pet but they do accept pets. We stayed two nights and I know on the second night the hotel was at a full or nearly full capacity. I saw a couple of people with dogs but I never heard any barking or noise from other guests.

    The hotel is nice, the staff was nice, it is well situated. The room it's self was a good size, had a balcony which was nice and the bathroom was a good size and the shower had a glass door and not a shower curtain which was very nice because I hate those bath/shower combinations with shower curtain that you constantly have to fight while showering. Breakfast was included. There was a limited choice but it was good none-the-less.

    Our view of the bay and sunset was beautiful, it was nice to have a balcony as well. The breakfast wasn't impressive at all but the coffee was good and there were things for the road. Location is perfect for Somers Point, Ocean city and getting in and out of town. Also, there is the famous Crab Trap restaurant downstairs. You can walk to the liquor store, Wawa, Diner, Bar or go for a long hike along the causeway.
