    The area of South San Francisco where the hotel is located...

    The area of South San Francisco where the hotel is located is fine for taking lonely walks around what is essentially a business park, but there's not much to walk to. (There is a Starbucks and a few restaurants about 1/4 mi. to the north.) South San Francisco's downtown, which has a train station that takes you to the airport or downtown San Francisco francisco, contains restaurants open in the evening, is on the other side of the railroad tracks and a little hard to get to unless you're a jogger.

    Make sure you won't have a long wait for the shuttle. I needed a break after a long flight. If I had not gone into San Francisco and stayed the night, returning home the next day. I would have had seven more hours in airports and returned home after midnight. It saved me.

    My favorite spot was United Air Lines Gate F19, departing @ 2:10 pm. I ate at the Ramada Limited & Suites Hotel, pre-packaged danish and orange juice. At least I wasn't hungry. There was also plain hot coffee, 2 flavors of cereal with room temperature milk and hot Quaker oatmeal in paper bowls and cups offered for breakfast. There will not be a next time. Too expensive. Although they do recycle and conserve water, I liked that. One more thing I liked the hotels fluffy soft towels and Dove shampoo and soap.

    This is convenient to the airport and cheaper than staying in the city. You do need a car to get around. There is not much to do but it provides easy access to places and there is easy access to the main freeways.

    You have to drop $100.00 to stay, for security.

    You have to drop $100.00 to stay, for security. For two separate nights I dropped $200. I'm supposed to get reimbursed, but I'm not confident they'll try to rationalize keeping the security deposit. Wyndham could not re-book my change in schedule. Told me they had no authority. Go to Expedia which I did not know I had my room booked there. Expedia told me they could not re-book. I won't ever book with Wyndham Travelodge and Expedia. Try calling 1-650-583-9600 and you won't be able to reserve a room. Incrrdibly bad service. Towels, but no soap/shampoo in the shower. Window curtain blocks airflow from the heater so only the window is warm. Go figure.

    I liked that it was in close proximity to the airport and...

    I liked that it was in close proximity to the airport and it appeared clean. I did not like the fact that there was a strong musty smell that was overwhelming at times. It made me uncomfortable, and gave me a feeling of uncertainty as to what was I breathing. It was an unhealthy moldy environment; not sure what I was breathing in while asleep.
