While I was disappointed in the room and proximity to Big Bend, I very much liked the cafe—good, home cooked food and friendly staff. I met the office staff the day after we checked in and they were very nice as well. Never having been to this area, resort was misleading to me, rustic cabin might be better. Given this is a dark sky area, there needs to be some signage or a couple of lights to direct us to the cabins in the pitch black at 6:30 PM in the winter months after the office closes at 5.Guest review byShelleyUnited States - 8.0

Stopping to see the ghost town is worth the stop.
Stopping to see the ghost town is worth the stop. Terlingua is the closest town to both Big Ben National Park and Big Bend Ranch State Park, making it a good jumping off spot to see both parks.
