Nice area to get away from the hustle & bustle of life. The grocery store & Ace Hardware were very nice. Very Friendly & welcoming small town. The house was amazing!! We were just passing through this trip, but are very familiar with the area. Lots to do: white water rafting on the Snake and Grey's Rivers, lots of fishing opportunities, beautiful Palisades reservoir just up the road, lots of wildlife viewing, and considerably cheaper than staying in Jackson or the Park. The local grocery store in right across the highway and has a great selection of deli type meals. For $26 we (hubby and wife) had dinner, lunch, snacks for the next day's drive, and dinner the next evening. Take a cooler and save a bunch!Guest review byTeresaUnited States - 6.0
Thayne is not a tourist destination.
Thayne is not a tourist destination. We stayed here 90min away from the Grant Tetons National Park to avoid the excessive prices at Jackson Hole. If you enjoy small town Western living, this place has charme. Make sure to come Wedenesday to Saturday and enjoy live music in the local pub. Keyless entry is awesome. The beds were very comfortable and the water was good and hot for the shower. The decor inside the room was absolutely adorable. The outside is cute with the western props. The price was very reasonable and cheaper than a hotel room. It's a nice hour- ish drive to Jackson so very convenient. The owners definitely put alot of love into this place.
