The location is super convenient. The hotel itself is gorgeous and very clean. I will definitely be staying here again. Double Tree is very accommodating and the staff are very friendly.

The Hitching Post Motel is situated along a picturesque road, offering a charming stay enhanced by its delightful, kind, and friendly owners. They warmly welcomed our rescue dog for a modest additional fee and went above and beyond by crafting her a custom padded bed. Upon departure, they bid us farewell with cheerful waves and smiles. The rooms are spotless, the Wi-Fi is reliable, and the gracious female owner thoughtfully recommended excellent dining options in the Kent area. It has become our preferred destination for lodging.

This one bedroom is impeccably designed ~ both in style and comfort. The setting with windows out to Litchfield views is peaceful. There’s a small deck and a hot tub we unfortunately didn’t have time to try. We forgot to bring scrabble which we play daily and it was there along with all board games. Coffee bar stocked( except for milk) It was a blessed treat to stay there while we were in town for a friend’s mom’s funeral.

    The room smelled of cigarettes and mold, it was about a hundred degrees in the room, there was blood stains on the sheets of the messy bed. The hole where the smoke detector once was had red wires hanging out of it. No smoke detector in the room. The bathroom had gnats fling around. The curtain was hanging off the rod. The place was disgusting. Don’t ever book a room here.

    This is the third time I have left this.

    This is the third time I have left this. The place was disgusting it had bugs. I was bit at least three or four times within less than 5 minutes that we were in that room. We would not stay and would not take another room. If one room has bugs more than likely all the rooms have bugs. The bedding was dirty and the beds springs you can feel. A bad cheap mattress. And it smelled. No way in hell we’re we staying there for our 30th anniversary let alone any other time of the year. They need to be reported to the health department. If I don’t get a full refund for this room that I did not stay in, I will report them to the health department and shit them down if I have too.

    No breakfast. Location accommodated my immediate needs. Price was not too bad compared to other nearby locations that seemed to in no way provide the quality I was looking for; and the price was far less than Hotels that were quite far away and much more expensive. The apartment was on the third floor, and certain places were a bit low, but the apartment itself was actually quite large. Plenty of room without feeling cramped

    Very basic hotel without normal check-in area. Breakfast is terrible. Receptionist is covered by some defensive fence like this is the area of criminals... The smell in the room is not good. Typical budget hotel.
