Definitely has seen better days.
Definitely has seen better days. Many of the iconic motels are vacant/abandoned, along with some other commercial buildings throughout town. Part of the allure is both the nostalgia and decay, along with the history of Route 66. I don’t know which will outlast the other.Guest review bymikeUnited States - 8.0

There's a lot of hype to stay at Tucumcari but it's only draw is it's convenient located on a long stretch between home and the Grand Canyon. It is not a destination, it's strictly a place to rest. The place seemed to draw a lot of people with dogs.Guest review bySharletteUnited States - 6.0

The room was great it was clean beds were made sheets were clean. Refrigerator microwave TV worked wonderfully. The only downside was there ice maker was on the first floor or room was on the second floor very inconvenient. I had my service animal with me and I did need a disabled room cuz I cannot do stairs well. Don't know if it was to the fact that they didn't have a smoking disabled room or what but I was put on the second floor. That made it difficult for me.Guest review byMarshall - 8.0

Tucumcari is a city rebounding from the loss of rail service in the 1980’s or 90’s. The train depot has been converted to a museum. The charm of vintage vehicles and Historic U.S. Route 66 is evident everywhere. Recommended restaurants: Del’s and Kix 66.Guest review byDougUnited States

The room was comfortable and decorated tastefully in the style of the 50s/60s. The radio station was from this era too, advertising Spam and Chesterfield cigarettes and great music. I'd listen to it all day if I could access this station from home. The guy at check in was friendly and made good food recommendations. The grounds were cool.
