Tulsa was a breath of fresh air! A great, family friendly trip. There was so much to do. The Gathering Place is like nothing we've been to. Completely free, and so well done! We went 3 days in a row, and still didn't do everything that was available there! People were friendly by the most part. I did see alot of homeless people. My daughter and I felt it was a decent city and plan to come again to see my son and his gf. We ate at IHOP, Cracker Barrell and On the Border. IHOP was very good and affordable, Cracker Barrell I think I'll pass on as well as On the Border. It is a vibrant city that blends history, iconic architecture, and modern entertainment. Its Art Deco architecture is among the best in the country, featuring landmarks like the Philcade Building and the Boston Avenue Methodist Church. In Downtown, the stunning Holy Family Cathedral and the underground tunnels provide a fascinating glimpse into the city's past. As part of the legendary Route 66, Tulsa is home to key landmarks such as the Cyrus Avery Centennial Plaza and Mother Road Market, a great spot to enjoy local cuisine. Nightlife thrives in Midtown and the Blue Dome District, with bars like Tulsa Bar and the lively Whiskey 918, perfect for country music fans.
