Seems bigger than the population says. Great legacy,tree lined streets. LOTS of new restaurants including fast food choices. The streets are in the best shape in years. Main street is an award winning street. I do not partake of wine,but there is at least 120 tasting rooms in Walla Walla and the vicinity. If you like to sample wines, this is the place to go.
If you like to sample wines, this is the place to go. Surrounded by rolling hills, vistas, and wineries, Walla Walla is a charming location, perfect for a weekend away. Saffron restaurant is excellent. Red Monkey has the best Walla Walla onion rings. Downtown area has several tasting rooms and some nice little shops. Walla Walla is one of the best towns any of us have ever been in. Plenty of restaurants, beautiful homes and neighborhoods, and wonderful parks abound -- especially Pioneer Park. I wanted local wine with a steak, as they mostly grow Bordeaux varietals in this area, and they go well with steak. The Walla Walla Steak Company served me a good steak and good wine at a reasonable but not low price. The bridge in the illustration is nowhere near Walla Walla.
