The location was nice and wonderful because it was closer to Gallaudet University, the breakfast restaurant, markets, and the metro. I could enter through the main door after scanning the key card from outside and the security was standing to open the main door for me at late night. I felt it was safe when I walked to the hotel from GU at late night. The staff served my dinner to me nicely. The room was clean and tidy every day when I left the room. I was comfortable in bed and took a shower. The price was valued for a few days of staying. The staff helped me and she put my pieces of luggage in storage after she handed me the tag. When I reached the hotel, I showed the tag to the staff and collected my pieces of luggage.

FAQs about hotels in Washington, D.C.

A World Icon

Featuring tons of national treasures, Washington DC is the US capital and home to the world’s most iconic presidential building – The White House. Most visitors start at the National Mall, a huge park stretching from the Potomac River to the Capitol Building. It also encompasses the Washington Monument obelisk and the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool, of particular significance in US civil rights, commemorated by the latest addition - the Martin Luther King Memorial.

Also here are 11 of the city’s 17 incredible Smithsonian museums, including the unmissable National Museum of American History.

If all this gets too much, wander around Georgetown’s Colonial buildings and take a break in one of the student cafés. Many world cuisines are represented in Washington DC and the city also has its fair share of live music venues, with a surprisingly good jazz scene. The National Symphony Orchestra is based here and the Kennedy Center hosts a range of productions.

DC’s planning policy means there are no skyscrapers, so if you fly into Washingon Dulles Airport over the city, you see its white buildings standing proud. The city is also served by Baltimore-Washington Thurgood Marshall Airport and Washington National Airport. All are quite a way out, so leave plenty of time to get there from your hotel, apartment or guesthouse booked through Booking.com.

DC is a super awesome place to visit.

DC is a super awesome place to visit. There are so many areas to see and things to do and we are lucky enough to live close enough to enjoy it a few times a year for different events! Not only are there the museums, sports, concerts and other awesome events (hello cherry blossoms), but there's all of the history (old and current) to spend time, in addition to the fabulous architecture and lovely walking areas. And the food...tons of options...a gastronomic paradise!!! I wish they consider the European vibe and do bistros/restaurants with outdoor seating in the mall area...so much potential there!

We happened to arrive the weekend the government shut down so the city still seemed lively. Not sure what it will be like in a few days. But the museums were fantastic. Especially liked the Renwick and the National Gallery. Very walkable from our hotel.

Good areas to stay in - Foggy bottom and Georgetown not too many beggars or homeless. Need 4 days to see sights, Metro is good for getting around and so are the feet. Look for the Good food market - supermarket with hot fresh food options or general supplies.

The value for money was reasonable. Washington has extremely expensive accommodation. The hotel is within a university campus and so a safe area. There is a free shuttle from the hotel to the union station which helps a lot but it has limitations, read about it below. Taxi from Union Station was just 10$, just in case. I have got a very spacious and clean room. The campus was nice and clean.
