Beautiful room with terrace overlooking the valley, big clean comfy beds and a lovely bathroom. No a/c but two good fans, no issues with being too hot overnight and slept really well. The meals were all excellent, the staff catered really well for us as vegetarians and made us two lovely evening meals and breakfasts. We have been travelling by motorbike and decided to rest for two nights at Hoang Su Phi so had a lovely relaxing day just walking around the village, having a swim in the pool and chilling out in the bungalow - perfect location for this!

This place is literally HEAVEN ON EARTH. After a 4 hours car trip to this destination, my friend and I arrived to the Riz d'Or Retreat. Located on top of a mountain, completely remote from any kind of cities. Lost in nature. At peace. The taxi left us down a hill and the personnel came to pick us up with their motorbike. 1 minute and we had arrived to our stunning wooden bungalow, in the middle of bamboo fields. Climbing up the wooden stairs, was this grand double bedroom with a king sized bed, rafia mobilier and linen curtains. The room gave access to a small terrace where we would admire the typical Northern Vietnamese landscape. Mountains dressed with their tea fields terraces, a few houses here and there. Nature at its purest and simplest. The bathroom was exceptionally modern and clean, with toilets, shower, and sink, all added in the wooden decor with taste. The bungalow was also compound of a huge veranda equipped with wooden stools, a bathtub built in stone, toilets and a kitchen. The personnel was at utmost disposition during all our stay and provided for everything we needed. They also offered activities such as gardening, fishing and visiting the local villages and ethnies around. This place is worth any detour. We will remember it forever.

The location is unbelievable, the most beautiful place i have ever slept at. Amazing views. Very nice owners, made me dinner and a light breakfast. The stay is really authentic, all the animals roaming freely at the nearby field... just a wonderful place!!

Bick is the most exceptional host who will welcome you into her family, ensuring you feel comfortable and enjoy your time. Staying at Bikki Jungle Homestay will allow a window into the lives of the Red Dzao Tribe of the Northern mountains of Vietnam. Bick and her family welcomed us with hospitality and kindness, showing us their unique way of life including cooking, tasting valuable teas, and swimming in waterfalls. We trekked through the jungle, ate delicious food, and learned some phrases in the specific dialect of Vietnamese. Thank you Bick for being the wonderful person you are, and ensuring all your guests have a great time! ☺️ *important note on directions* - if arriving at Bikki Jungle Homestay by yourself, make sure you turn LEFT at the sign that says “welcome to Lung Tao Village” (pictured). Unique setting on the edge of an authentic village overlooking beautiful mountains. The village is still authentic, not overrun by large groups of partying foreign kids on motorcycles. The host family was very welcoming and we were made to feel part of the family. The rooms were small but comfortable and with a nice design. The bathroom is basic but functional. The overall experience is wonderful, being part of village life waking up to the sounds of the animals in the village waking up early in the morning

The stay at Hoang Su Phi was magical. Hien took extraordinary care of us. We felt like family. The meals were exceptional and she went above and beyond to make sure our large family was cared for. The placement in the hills was magnificent with panoramic views across a stunning vista. Hien arranged a trek with a local guide, Sai, who brought us through the rice terraces and to an incredible home-stay lunch. This is truly a memory of a lifetime.
