Staff very helpful and so welcoming, Lovely place surrounded by nature, comfy beds, great food and drinks. We stayed one more night to enjoy the 5th hotel's anniversary party, thanks again Kim and Chang for that evening! The owners were very nice , welcoming. They help you with everything, honestly, they offered us everything that we needed even when we didn’t know we needed it. Cold tea as soon you arrive with. some fresh fruit, juice, cookies. seriously they treat you like family. the room were clean and very comfortable.

We had a great time at Green Haven Retreat - the rooms are new and clean, and the owners are super nice. On our first day, they even invited us to celebrate Tet Holiday with them! Would definitely recommend this place.

Firstly, the hosts (a wonderful couple) were incredibly kind and helpful from start to finish. They gave a very warm welcome with refreshments and information about the area. The property is in the perfect location to explore Tam Coc and the rooms are really well decorated and spacious.

    We spent two days in Ninh Binh and could have easily spent a...

    We spent two days in Ninh Binh and could have easily spent a day or two longer. It's a very laid back area and there is lots to see. We stayed between Trang An and Tam Coc and used bicycles to get around. The quieter location suited us but for younger travellers Tam Coc is more vibrant. The walk to the top of Hang Mua viewpoint is best done in the early morning (we went before breakfast) so it isn't too crowded and not too hot. There were mountain goats roaming around when we walked up (around 7.00am) but they'd gone by the time we descended and more people were arriving. We didn't take the boat ride in Tam Coc but we took a boat ride in Trang An. The scenery seems more mountainous around Trang An than Tam Coc. On the day we went the water was high so we couldn't go into the caves and there was only one route open, which seemed to be a mix of the other routes. The boat trip lasted around 2.5 hours and was excellent. We also visited the old town at night, which was nice. It's all lit up and there are some good places to eat on the waterfront. Bich Dong temple is also worth visiting. There is a staircase leading up to a smaller shrine and to the left of that there is a passage through a bat cave and up to another small shrine outdoors.

    The view is stunning.

    The view is stunning. I was shocked of how beautiful and cleaned this city is. You can enjoy cycling around the city under the quiet, historic and cultural atmosphere. At the famous landmarks, there was no scam or shoving, hustling, jostling. The goat meat in Ninh Binh is so delicious

    Overall, the experience was very good.

    Overall, the experience was very good. Trang An and Mua Cave were absolutely must-visit places—stunning and unforgettable. If there’s one small note, I found that prices around Tam Coc were a little higher compared to Trang An, but it didn’t take away from the overall enjoyment of the trip.

    My visit to Ninh Binh was only to visit Cuc Phuong National...

    My visit to Ninh Binh was only to visit Cuc Phuong National Park and I caught the end of the butterfly migration which was an exceptional, never to be forgotten experience. The nearest ATM to Wyndham Grand is only a 5 minute drive away but it is advisiable to bring cash to pay taxi drivers, shops and the National Park entrance fee. Taxis are easy to arrange and fairly reasonably priced. It is common to agree a price for a round trip and often the driver will wait for you, sometimes for several hours.

    Hoa Lu, the ancient capital is a great place to visit, pls book the tour guide who can help you to understand the place, pls spend time for walking around, even climd up the mountain to see the whole landscape. We did have a great time and we enjoyed it a lot. Thung Nham is another place worth visiting, especially at 5pm when all the birds are flying back home, it is fantastic view to see and enjoy Night market with long walk along the river is another great experiences. The food, the people and the landscape of Ninh Binh: wonderful!

    We stayed at Windy Fields for 3 days in december. The staff is really nice and helpfull! You can get any advice from them, they help you plan your itinerary when in Ninh Binh. There is a nice pool, and beautiful views of the Rice fields (although it is not very green in december). It is a 15min walk to Tam Coc centre, where the restaurants and bars are, but the hotel restaurant is also open all day and serves excellent food. Bicycles are included, so we biked everywhere.

    Besides the great location and cleanliness of the rooms, the experience was excellent due to the kindness of the owners. They gave us great suggestions on what to do in Tam Coc and the surrounding area, and they also arranged a private tour for us. After the tour, they allowed us to take a shower (even though we had already checked out of the hotel) while we waited for our night train. They were very helpful and hospitable. Highly recommend!

    We loved the place so much we even extended our stay! Everything is super clean, the food and a la carte breakfast is delicious, the staff is fantastic and the rooms are very nice and large. Also, they offer free bikes, which allows you to go to Ninh Binh or Tam Coc quickly. This is the nicest place we stayed at during our vacation in Vietnam so far. Last but not least, the price per night is quite cheap for what you get!

    The property was located a 10 minute drive outside of tam coc town, the views were stunning and it was a peaceful escape from the usually busy Vietnam, the hosts were so attentive and helped with picking us up from the town when we arrived for a very small fee, we felt very comfortable and welcomed into their peaceful home stay and would recommend to anyone stayin in Ninh binh
