United KingdomSuch a beautiful historical building, that was the very reason we booked it and it didn’t disappoint us at all. It was so cool, the night we arrived there was a big rugby match inn on the bar & everyone was so cool with us as tourists that don’t speak Afrikaans. We had a wonderful time, the food at breakfast was also excellent. We really enjoyed our stay.

GermanyWe had a wonderful stay at this location. The owners were lovely - we really enjoyed the chats and stories. Highly recommend having a home-cooked meal when you stay it was delicious and so much attention to detail. We will definitely spend more time next time! Highly recommended also for families with small kids.

The interior Was stunning and made with love. Our Host Chris was very friendly and we enjoyed every conversation. The dogs on the property were really nice. Can fully recommend this place

Albertinia is a small country town without the big fast food...
Albertinia is a small country town without the big fast food take aways . Very rural . You can buy the basics at one of the cafes or Pizza place . There is not much as far as shops go so it is a stopover to break a long journey or a week or two of total peace and quite without too many modern day interruptions. There is a braai area and all you could want to have to have an enjoyable stop and a good night's sleep and no rush to get you out in the morning .. I simply bought rolls and cold meat and yogurt at Piet se kafee as I did not want to cook . Coffee is provided although if to a heavy coffee drinker you may want to buy a bit extra as most guest houses only give you enough for two or three cups of coffee . I had a nice chat with the owner who told me about the abundance of underground water and about the area in general...This is not a property where you can come in and drink and party and be a nuisance to others . . The portions were big and the variety was great. We could not eat it all. The hosts Marietjie and Bert were very welcoming and accommodating.
