Nice little town worth stopping over between Gauteng and...

Nice little town worth stopping over between Gauteng and Eastern Cape. The swimming pool at the Spa is worth a visit for some respite from the heat. Not all facilities there have been fully maintained, but still good for a swim and relaxing on the lawns under shady trees. Steaks at The Little Ranch are amazing and you will be hard pressed to find a better steak anywhere.

We did not have time to get around but our host, Faith was...

We did not have time to get around but our host, Faith was just the greatest person to meet and hear about the place, the pro's and con's and everything in between. She was most inspiring and her story touched our hearts. We were extremely happy to be there with our 2 yorkies who were made to feel right at home. It was just a pity that we had such a short overnight stay. The breakfast was expectational, made with love and care. Would gladly recommend Aliwal North to follow travellers.

If you are interested in SA history, this town has several...

If you are interested in SA history, this town has several places to visit that would occupy at least half a day. The condition of streets is not good in many cases, but that shouldn't stop you from exploring the place, which has a few architectural gems.
