New and stylish hotel in a safe area. The staff were very helpful and amiable. The room was spacious and well-equipped. I didn't manage to book a room with 2 separate beds but the hotel prepare an additional bed for me before our arrival! The room was neatly cleaned every day but sometimes the cleaning lady forgot to leave coffee capsules or towels (not a big deal though). Also, there is a laundry service, which made our long stay in summer even more comfortable. The staff, food, and interior of the restaurant for breakfast, the cafe, and the restaurant on the roof were perfect. I would definitely come again!

Such helpful and friendly people. Big comfortable bed with big pillows and mini fridge and coffee maker. The room was serviced daily and a restaurant was housed within the hotel serving all meals. Great location in a vibrant neighbourhood with restaurants and shops nearby. V&A was approximately 10 minutes by car and Camps Bay 20 minutes. Had a view of table Mountain from my bedroom window.

FAQs about hotels in Cape Town

Cool, Colourful Cape

Between mountains and beaches, the 2nd largest city in South Africa mixes history, resilient modernity, and a typical laidback African character. From the top of Table Mountain to the colourful Bo Kaap quarter, and from the Victoria & Albert Waterfront to the modern business district, Cape Town blends multicultural influences and beautiful nature.

Known as Kaapstad in Afrikaans, its sunny weather and mild temperatures make it a perfect place to enjoy the large number of beaches that surround it. From Sunset Beach to Hout Bay, and from Simon’s Town to Gordon Bay, this city offers a variety that suits all tastes. Whale and dolphin watching is a popular activity in False Bay.

Located on the Cape of Good Hope, the city was founded in 1652 by a Dutch trading company as a way-station for ships travelling to the East Indies. With the settling process, all sorts of foreign plants were introduced, including the grapes in the famous Cape Winelands District, just outside Cape Town.

Cape Town’s history does have some darker periods, and some of its memorable places from this time deserve to be visited: Robben Island jail, the City Hall from which Nelson Mandela gave his first public speech, and the statues of the 4 South African Nobel Peace Prize winners on the V&A Waterfront.

I loved walking & running on the beachfront promenade.

I loved walking & running on the beachfront promenade. There were lovely restaurants and coffee shops on Beach Road. Main Road, Sea Point is not the best. I would have preferred to stay at Mouille Point/ Granger Bay as it is quieter. Best parts: the beach at Camps Bay, hiking up Lion's Head, sundowners at The Winchester Hotel and at Rockpool in Beach Road, sundowners and dinner at Aegir in Noordhoek, wine-tasting at Constantia Glen. In Sea Point traffic is quite bad throughout the day and you may be approached by beggars/ homeless people.

    Cape Town is simply amazing!

Cape Town is simply amazing! The scenery is breathtaking, with mountains, beaches, and the ocean meeting in a spectacular way. Table Mountain is a must-see, and trips to Cape Point and Boulders Beach with the penguins are truly unforgettable. The city perfectly combines urban charm with stunning nature, and the restaurants and cafés are excellent.

Cape Town never disappoints and is still my favorite City. The V&A Waterfront was great with many placed to eat and have drinks. It’s safe to walk and we enjoyed the variety of coffee shops and restaurants in Main road Greenpoint as well. Museum of illusions was fun and Camps bay is just around the corner.

The apartment had everything we needed and was close to Camps Bay so a good general location. The staff at Blue Views (South Beach hotel) were very good - friendly and helpful. Frankshoek, Cape Town V&A Waterfront excellent. Camps Bay and Clifton beaches good but busy. Helicopter tour and Horse riding on the amazing Noordhoek Beach were the highlights. Food was excellent in the many restaurants we visited (Marble, Reubens, Harry's Bar, Bovine, Paranga, The Bungalow).

The owners’ attention and dedication to providing the best quality experience is wonderful. Russel and Alan truly care for their guests! The hotel is quirky, atmospheric and authentic. Location is just a short walk to the V & A Waterfront. The food is amazing-innovative, fresh, healthy, all home cooked. Homemade bread, jams, relishes-just delicious. We loved our stay and wouldn’t dream of staying anywhere else if in Cape Town!
