We had an exceptional stay at Halali. Our room and en suite were much bigger than we anticipated. Beautiful, clean, luxurious. It had excellent air con that kept us cool even on extremely hot days and nights. The pics we saw beforehand didn't do it justice, it exceeded our expectations. The breakfasts were superb as were our suppers. The chef was very welcoming and friendly and went out of his way to accommodate tricky allergies. All of the staff were lovely, friendly and very helpful. Peter, the manager, is quite likely the best host we've ever had. He even came out late one night to check on our lights, and warn us of a potential storm. We had a great game drive. Saw so much, and for the very first time saw Golden Wildebeest, which are very rare.

It was self-catering, and they had everything you needed – cups, glasses, knives, pots, and even a one-plate stove.     Road to the lodge not marked properly ended up at a cattle farm eventually found the supposedly lodge which was locked had to wait 20 min for someone to open for us - no game at all not even a game vehicle - room given was not at all what the website looked like horrible resort you should review the photos and perhaps visit the lodge disgusting I will no longer be using booking.com if this is the clientele that your company associates themselves with so disappointed

    Its a good area to visit the navigation its a bit of a challenge aroung the game reserve but not to bad and also the road its a gravel road so try to use an SUV its a bit of a challenge for hatchback or sport car
