We had a wonderful stay at Knysna Hollow Estate. The accommodation is spacious, modern, clean and the bed is very comfortable (A comfy bed is one of my must have’s). The staff were all super friendly and Cheryl, one of the manager’s, was efficient and could not have been more helpful.

We loved the view over Knysna from the hotel! Beautiful setting, nice big property with pool area. The staff could not have been nicer or more helpful! We just loved them! We moved rooms and our second room was gorgeous - spacious and airy with a large comfy bed and sitting area. The bathroom is bright with a huge tub. The restaurant staff are friendly and the food is very good. I treated myself to a pampering mani/pedi. Regina, the esthetician was wonderful! She really took her time and pampered me with a wonderful massage too! Enrico , the manager was available and helpful. Everything was just great and we thoroughly enjoyed our four nights here!

The apartment was perfect --stylish, spacious, clean, and cozy. It was perfect for our family of 5 (we took a two-bedroom). The kitchen was large and well fitted, the living room was very nice, the balcony was massive with a seating area, and the bedrooms/bathrooms were comfy and clean. We loved that the floor was heated (such a nice touch). We also loved the area it was at, and the grounds were secure and well-manicured (which is expected in a golf resort). Driving in and out of the resort was really nice as it's on a mountain with superb views. The check-in was smooth. We arrived late and hungry, so the lovely front desk staff suggested we order room service from the restaurant. It was delivered quickly and was very delicious. Our apartment was not too far from the main club house for breakfast; as the weather was crisp and cool, it was perfect for a morning walk. The staff at the restaurant were delightful and accommodating...the breakfast buffet was the best we've had whilst in South Africa. Their hot chocolate was a hit with the kids. We weren't able to golf, sadly, as we were on a schedule, but it would be great to bring our clubs next time. The golf course looked fantastic! I used the laundry service, and our items were finished and delivered to our room the next day. They were not ironed, so make sure you specify that option if you need to. The laundry service was reasonably priced (they charge per kilo). What we liked about staying in Knysna is that it was quite central to areas we wanted to visit, like Tsitsikamma Natl Park, and Cango Caves. We enjoyed having dinner some evenings at the Knysna Waterfront (only a 10 min drive). I would definitely stay here again when in Knysna! 3 days was not enough!

    We really enjoyed our time in Knysna, we had several activities planned and these were all fantastic. The restaurants in the tare great, there are loads of options. The town itself is quite busy and buzzing, if you are looking for a quiet relaxing holiday this might not be the best option.

    I entered both of the cycle races but the whole experience was wonderful - the views were awesome; people were friendly, and the facilities very good. Restaurants in the area were top of the range. Even joyed the rugby on the tv's at a local pub & grill at Buffelsbaai.

    I have visited Knysna many times, usually during the oyster festival doing the cycle tour. I always enjoyed being there. Unfortunately the Knysna municipality seems to be unable to keep the condition of the roads in an acceptable condition (in line with the general upkeep of infrastructure in most municipalities). Fortunately the food and landscape is still marvelous

    Knysna scenery is amazing, though would stay outside of Knysna when in the area again as prices for restuarants were very high. If you are in Knysna then visit the Knysna Elephant Park, here there is value for money and its supports the efforts of the park and its a wonderful experience.

    A winter trip to Knysna offers the opportunity to do some exploring and a lot of recharging. Exploring and eating our way around the area - going to the Heads Viewpoint, exploring Belvidere and the views to Brenton on Sea. Last year Knysna was also our base to explore Plett, Sedgefield and other areas. This year we spent more time in Knysna and more time relaxing too.

    This is not the place if you're expecting hotel standards and convenience. BUT if you want to experience the Knysna forest in a raw and beautiful way, this is definitely the place to be. Amazing walks and places to explore, places to swim and even a warm clay bath under the stars! The TP's are basic, but everything you need. Wood is delivered when needed at a very reasonable price and the staff was extremely helpful and always available. We will definitely be back again, 3 days wasn't enough to experience everything!

Close to East Head café, golf courses, and great area for cycling, canoeing, swimming, hiking and sight seeing We had the best hosts - Amarille and Susan. I will definately visit again!
