Very central to eateries and the town. The rooms are quite sound proof. No unnecessary intrusions from staff. Was quite busy when we visited and you wouldn't have noticed. The pool was well kept and maintained. We could just drop the keys in the box when we left. The rooms have aircon which was a life saver during the December heatwaves.

Had an absolutely wonderful stay here! The hosts were extremely welcoming and helpful. The room was cozy, warm and the bed super comfy ! The outdoor garden was also great ! It's super close to everything in the town.

    Too much to see and do in 2 days - a lovely town with friendly people and plenty of good restaurant's . Participated in their parkrun at Surval Olive farm - beautiful venue and such friendly, helpful marshals and organizers Oudtshoorn is a warm gem

    we have been to Oudtshoorn several times over a number of years. The attractions are mainly the same but still worth a visit - however interesting to see how much the town has grown and evolved. The drive through the Swartberg Mountains is NOT to be missed. The primary reason we took this trip.

    A wonderful spot for a mini break - offers scenic drives and wonderful experiences. The people are generally warm and welcoming. There are many small businesses worth supporting. Stayed at Mooiplaas guest house a few years ago and the service and provisions were highly commendable!

    Spur was open till 10:30 pm making an ideal stop for a great bite on a Friday night. Service was excellent and prompt. Jaco was a real star mechanic to get my vehicle working 100% on Sunday before the drive back to Cape Town.

    Favorite spot is outside the tent when i saw the beautiful landscape, the mountain peaks .There were so many favorite spots,the relaxing and secure tent was a first. We ate at the restuarant on the premises,no need to go outside the range cause everything was there.Next time we are going to bring the kids along cause there park area,chess board and lots of fun things to to for them.

    Oudtshoorn is a gem.

    Oudtshoorn is a gem. Compared to most inland towns in South Africa it has so much to offer. The surrounding areas have many activities to enjoy, I would strongly urge travellers to give this town a visit for a few days. Much family entertainment available in the area. The area is dry and hot but extremely beautiful. Good restaurants. Guest houses and Lodges are of a high standard and there are so many lodging and pricing options for every traveller. From farm stays to luxury boutique hotels, there is an option for every traveller.

    It was specious and fairly clean with relatively good self catering facilities. The most positive thing is that they have an inverter installed for load shedding periods. Kudos for this.
