Fantastic property, beautiful and clean. The outside space was so good to relax and take a dip in the plunge pool when it got a bit warm. The bed and linens were so nice. It was very quiet and we felt totally safe walking round the area. Went to the Lazy Lizzard for lunch and Yellow House for dinner. Both places were excellent. Thank you for a great stay and would definitely recommend if you’re in Prince Albert. Made it down the Swartberg Pass in a small sedan car with no problem, as it was dry and we took it slowly. What a drive!

What a great stay we had. The staff were amazing. Tracey went that extra step all the time. Nothing was too much trouble for her. She recommended and booked restaurants for us. The breakfast was great. I loved sitting out by the pool. Our room was amazing, spacious and there seemed to be nothing that the lodge had not thought of providing.

We arrived in Prince Albert and were gobbersmacked to see the stunning white villa that awaited us. Beautifully restored with much respect for the old building and its features like the tiles and the wooden floors. Everything was perfect, our lovely room with attached childrens room, the pool (yes, we did have a swim in August..) in the beautiful garden, the serenity of the whole place. Nice restaurants within walking distance. And what a wonderful breakfast we had the next morning! Thank you, André & team!

The meal at Prince Albert Cafe was delicious - a delightful little fine dining gem. Our stay at Prince Albert Country Stay exceeded expectations - friendly staff and very warm and welcoming owner.

    Prince Albert is a must visit. It’s a quaint little town offering loads of charm and character. Surrounded by gorgeous mountain ranges and charming restaurants serving home made deliciousness from yummy pizzas to scrumptious burgers and don’t get me started on the home baked goodies. Add this to your visit. Won’t disappoint

    Well positioned. We walked everywhere, good restaurants, art galleries, interesting curio and clothing shops. Free range and organic Dairy and Butchery The hikes are worthwhile, just be well prepared.

    A lovely town, with character, and an amazing twisty drive with majestic mountains and views using either a good tarred road or an absolutely stunning dirt road. A must-do! The charity shop was a great surprise, too!

    We attended the first GAMKA KLASSIEK 2025 festival - it was...

    We attended the first GAMKA KLASSIEK 2025 festival - it was very well organised and the venues were great & festive. We had time to visit Guy's dairy and taste and buy some cheese and other products. We ate at different restaurants; pleasant experience. Only warning: please do NOT enter the town via the Swartberg Mountain pass. It is in a very, very bad state.

    Charming oasis perfectly located to explore the town of Prince Albert by foot. The cottage was thoughtfully prepared and equipped with all we needed for our stay - little things such as milk, firewood & starters were made available. Comfortable bed, luxurious bath, lovely garden setting to enjoy the sunset and cosy fireplace were just some of the features that made our stay most enjoyable. The communication with host was excellent and on-going from the time we booked to our departure - thank you Elize!

    Prince Albert is definitely a town to be visited. The accommodation is situated close to the center of the town. We parked the car on the premises and walked to all the restaurants and amenities. Our room has a front door on the road for easy access. The room and bathroom were clean. The patrons were extremely friendly and helpful. Thank you, John and Esme, we really enjoyed our visit and would love to see you again.

    Swartberg hotel was old beautiful and quaint! They have done exceptionally well do keep the hotel in its original state but also up to date! The old world charm was amazing too. Facilities were great. The wonderful breakfast was most enjoyable too. Will definitely be back

    It was self catering, so no breakfast was served. The facilities was clean and the location was perfect and within walking distance of the centre of town. There was a lovely dog to greet us and to keep us save at night, However it did not feel unsafe at all.
